   More Services for you!

Dear Friends,

While I realize that it takes time

to get to know your maid service attendant, or your own personal assistant or caregiver,  here at our own HOME MAID SERVICE we really do have a wide range of talents that we bring with us to offer to you.

Lynn truly enjoys hanging wallpaper, and can cut in and paint to her heart's content!  But the thing she happiest about is the fact that she is also very, very good at restoring woodwork!

Both Christina and Lynn enjoy refinishing furniture, and have for years. But Lynn was also very blessed to work along side of their father, and learned the patience and dedication it takes to really do a fine job on the small details of restoration of woodwork.

"While I knew those times were precious with our dad, I don't think I'd realized just how fortunate it was that I could work alongside of him, until Christina and I had moved to Fort Wayne two and one half years ago (before we were able to buy our grandparents home here in Auburn). I find that most people are quite "terrified" (if I may use that word) to touch woodwork, because they think that it is the hardest bit of anything to repair, or blend.  But I find it is just a  matter of common sense, and patience."

"By working with Papa, I learned the various woods: oak, cherry, walnut, maple, pine ... even bass (it's wonderful for carving)! I learned the various wood grains: how to go with the grain ... how to even create grain that isn't there, and how to seal with the best varnishes for the wood grain in use.  As well, by working with Papa, I learned all about polyurethanes: from a "satin" to the "bright finish"!  I now know just how very advantageous it was to be able to work with Papa, so if you need even some small repair work done on your stairs, chair rail, banister, doors or walls -don't be afraid to ask! It will be my pleasure to make them like new!"

"Thanks Papa!"

he retired from 42 years of service at the Farm Bureau Co-Op!
